Best way to peel a peach?
This question came up when were given so peaches and asked to make peach pie filling. I said blanch them and then the skin comes out (over simplifying the process but you get the idea.) My wife said just use a vegetable peeler. We were both right and wrong,
- Vegetable peelers are great for Goldie Locks zone of peached. If you get them not hard but not too too soft you're golden. (see that little joke there.)
- Blanching - is for everything else.
Here is a brief video I found on how to do both ways: How To Peel and Pit Peaches | Southern Living
